Walkthrough

This walkthrough highlights the basic steps of Character Creation.

Step 1: Basics

  • Name: What is your character's Full Name? (First Middle Last)
  • Age: How old is your character?
  • Birthdate: When was your character born? (Month and Day)
  • Place of Birth: Where was your character born?
  • Race: Is your character a Mortal or a Scion?
  • Nature: What is the nature of your character?

The following selections are required only for Scion Characters.

  • Pantheon: Which pantheon of gods does your character's parent belong to?
  • God: Which god or goddess is your character's parent?
  • Legend: What level of Legend is your character starting at? (2, 3, or 4) Notice: Choosing a Legend of 3 or 4 will reduce the number of freebie points you have to work with. See Step 6 for more information.

Step 2: Attributes

  • Set your priorities by placing the three categories of attributes (Physical, Social and Mental) in order of importance for your character.
  • Each attribute starts at one (1) at the beginning of Character Creation.
  • You will receive eight (8) points to spend in your primary category, six (6) points for your secondary category, and four (4) points for your tertiary category.

Step 3: Abilities

  • You will have 30 points to spend on abilities. These are your character's skills and knowledges.
  • Scions must spend at least six (6) points in abilities related to their parent god. These abilities will be highlighted on your character sheet.
  • Abilities may NOT be raised over 3 without spending freebie points.

Notice: Mortal characters may skip to Step 6.

Step 4: Advantages

  • You will have 5 points to spend on Birthrights.
  • You will have 10 points to spend on Epic Attributes and Perviews & Boons.
  • Each point of an Epic Attribute allows for ONE free Knack. Additional knacks can be purchased in Step 6: Freebies.
  • Each level of a Birthright Relic allows for ONE Boon which must be purchased with your Epic Attribute and Boon points. Additional boons may be purchased with freebie points in Step 6, however the Relic must have an open slot.
  • Boons which fall into categories of All-Purpose Perviews do not have to be purchased in order of level, however Pantheon Specific, and Special Perview categories must be purchased in order.

Notice: While all Birthrights must be given a 'name', Relics are objects which give access to Boons. Therefore they require a bit more work to setup. See Creating Relics in CharGen for a walkthrough of the steps that go into creating a relic.

Step 5: Virtues

  • Like Attributes, Virtues start at one (1) and can be raised from there.
  • Each Scion has four virtues, just what these virtues are are based on the pantheon to which they are related.
  • You will have 5 points to spend in this section.

Step 6: Freebies

  • Mortals and Scions with Legend 2 will have 15 points to spend in this step.
  • Scions with Legend 3 will have 8 points to spend on this step, and those with Legend 4 will have only 1 point.
  • You may use these points to add new stats or up any you have already set in the Character Creation process.
  • In this step costs vary. Please see the chart below:

Attribute 4
Ability 2 (1 for Favored Ability of divine parent)
Birthright 1 (2 if the Birthright is being raised above 3)
